WHAT TO EXPECT.

Planning
Your portrait session will be just as unique as your dog, and so before your photo shoot we will discuss the themes and colour schemes that best capture your pup's personality, suits their colouring, and also what will suit your home if you’re planning on big prints! We have a huge selection of backdrops and props available for you to choose from to make this happen.

What to bring
We have toys and treats to keep your dog engaged and happy throughout the session, but if you have any special toys or blankets you'd like included, let us know in advance as we're always happy to work those in to your final photos.
Easing in
Before we get started with your dog's photo shoot, we’ll spend a little time getting to know them. We'll settle them in to the studio by playing some games, and if they're allowed, a relax on the sofa!
The Shoot
The photo session will typically last for around an hour. But, it could be less or a little while longer depending on the dog and the day. We don’t clock-watch and will stop for breaks, games, and walks to keep your doggy happy and engaged.
Decisions
After the shoot, we'll send you a gallery of images for you to choose from. Typically, this is a shortlist of at least 60 photos, but there's often many more! You can then choose which photos to receive fully edited, and in full quality for you to use and print however you wish.

FAQs.

HOW LONG IS A DOG PORTRAIT SESSION?

Most sessions are complete in around an hour, but there’s no time limit on our dog sessions. We’ll spend all the time we need ensure your dog feels comfortable and relaxed enough to let their personality shine through, and we can get the shots we need.

CAN I BRING MULTIPLE DOGS?

Of course! But please let us know when booking as multiple dogs can affect the length of a session.

CAN PEOPLE BE IN THE PHOTOS TOO?

For sure, we would love to take photos of your dog with their human family. But please instead enquire about our family sessions, as we will need to set up the studio differently to accommodate a group of humans.

HOW SHOULD I PREPARE?

We’ll discuss this in more detail after booking, but all you really need to consider is how to groom your dog beforehand (if at all!), and if you want to wear them out a little before they arrive.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

If your dog has any dietary requirements, please do bring along some suitable treats for them.

If they have a favourite toy or blanket you think may be helpful to relax them, please bring that along too.

We love to incorporate any favourite collars, clothing, toys etc that you want included in the photos. Please share with us a quick photo of anything you want included so we know what to expect before the day.

CAN WE STAY AND WATCH?

You’re more than welcome to stay for the session, and for a lot of dogs this is probably a good idea to keep them settled in a new environment. But, a room full of people can also be distracting for them, so it’s best to limit humans to one or two owners only.
